#intfe The Opening of INTERNAZIONALE

women.journalists.ferrara2013 #intfe  INTERNATIONALE FESTIVAL  celebrates its 20 years, with an opening full of guests from Africa activist, as well as from India, France, Myanmar, South America and United States.

Writers and journalists decided in reiterating the no to violence against women and to celebrate the activism of journalists, writers and publishers such as  Chouchou Namegabe, Urvashi Butalia, Rebecca Solnit and many more.

The poems also have an important role,  which is  given full room on Saturday. The opening never forgets to tell the forgotten stories of refugees of war, wounded or immigrants through the voices of members of NGOS such as Médecins sans Frontières, to give space to creative workshops and peace children, and finally provide targeted workshops to professionals or aspiring journalists.

A day full of emotions where photographic journeys transformed our visions of the world today. Stay tuned!

About Odile Milton

I travel through words whenever possible. Odile Milton is my signature on the web as I wanted an alter ego to indicate only my writings and works, not my personal life. Odile like the dancer in black swan, and Milton from the novel An old-fashioned girl. View all posts by Odile Milton
