Doris Salcedo, with her contemporary art exhibition “Plegaria muda” denounces the violence gratuitous and useless that is common to every part of the world, as showed by the Colombian artist. Until June 24 at the Maxxi of Rome, in an installation that evokes the death, but also speaks of life and hope of rebirth.

Created and proposed route of a bereavement, the work embodies also a seed of resurrection hope of good omen, at this time, the Maxxi, Museum in difficult conditions  that hosts.

In those slender blades of grass that, despite the adverse conditions,  emerge through the wooden planks of the tables, showing that ” Life always manages to emerge and to pierce the wall of indifference”.
