Italian Landscape: a point on safeguarding matters

FAI-Fondo per l’Ambiente Italiano and World Wild Fund (WWF) have commisionated an analysis of Italian environmental heritage, through a Dossier that combines a reading area the League deeply interests the landscape (understood in its cultural and historical significance) and environmental (protection of biodiversity).

Read watermark of this Dossier gives us a picture of the Italian territory of extreme gravity, and the threshold of irreversibility. With this mind the Dossier attached, from research promoted by the University of L’Aquila (in collaboration with the University Bocconi of Milan, with the Centre for biodiversity, Countryside and sustainable design of the Umbria region and WWF Italy) who first developed an instrument technician (GIS) capable of semi-automates the extraction procedure of the urbanized surfaces from raster maps andthen allowed to photograph the built-up areas and trends.

A heartfelt appeal so that the landscape is not irretrievably.

About Odile Milton

I travel through words whenever possible. Odile Milton is my signature on the web as I wanted an alter ego to indicate only my writings and works, not my personal life. Odile like the dancer in black swan, and Milton from the novel An old-fashioned girl. View all posts by Odile Milton
