So it is for the author in reminiscing about her partner, friends, sister filmmakers, father elusive yet brilliant anthropologist …

Write to the threshold between dreams, memory, and desire is not a foregone conclusion, nor simple. But when this happens, the pages are able to donate a deep sense of peace, joy and beauty. A feeling that pervades the literary reader in a walk in his most intimate and dear memories.

Dacia Maraini has had a long career as a writer, essayist, author of Poetry and theatre. His latest work approaches to some recent writings, surprisingly the Japanese author Banana Yoshimoto.

About Odile Milton

I travel through words whenever possible. Odile Milton is my signature on the web as I wanted an alter ego to indicate only my writings and works, not my personal life. Odile like the dancer in black swan, and Milton from the novel An old-fashioned girl. View all posts by Odile Milton
