Green Geographies

Artist’s gardens, public parks, great private collections of outdoor sculpture from Venice to Sicily, without missing the Alps. A geographic mosaic composed by contemporary Italian art parks, an example of excellence in environmental sustainability.

Places of promotion of contemporary art, these gardens are also mirrors to the Italian culture in the world, “inheritors” of the tradition of 16 century Italian Garden Tradition, from 16th century exported all over the world.

Unesco does not consider these environmental and cultural heritage, preferring to focus its protection and conservation on the major natural wonders like the Grand Canyon and the reef, both humanitarian world heritage sites. Read the latest sites nominee, in June 2011.

Whether you are in Australia rather than in a Tuscan historic garden or in a Desert Oasis, choosing to spend just an hour immersed in greenery, a sudden sense of peace will come within unexpected sensory experiences, for memories of pure joy.

To introduce you to green pearls of contemporary parks here are some links dedicated to beautiful parks and natural wonders all over the world.

About Odile Milton

I travel through words whenever possible. Odile Milton is my signature on the web as I wanted an alter ego to indicate only my writings and works, not my personal life. Odile like the dancer in black swan, and Milton from the novel An old-fashioned girl. View all posts by Odile Milton
